Digital Solutions for the Circular Economy – Session #2: from Real-World Challenges to Scalable Solutions
We often hear about circularity as a goal — but what does it take to turn that vision into reality, especially in complex industrial contexts?
That’s the question we’ll explore together during the second session of our webinar series:
“Digital Solutions to Support the Circular Economy: New Strategies and Methodologies Compared.”
This time, we’ll get practical — focusing on real-life challenges, pilot experiences, and market opportunities that are starting to emerge from four forward-thinking projects: AUTO-TWIN, DaCapo, DiCiM, and RESTORE.

What to Expect from Session #2
After laying the groundwork in our first session — where we introduced each project’s goals, technologies, and overall approach — it’s time to take a closer look at what’s happening in the field.
In this second meeting, we’ll hear directly from the pilot teams. They’ll walk us through the environments where their solutions are being tested, the specific needs they address, and the benefits they are starting to show. Most importantly, we’ll discuss the common obstacles they’ve encountered when applying circular strategies — and how they’re working to overcome them.
We’ll also explore an exciting aspect: the scalability of these solutions and their potential for real market application. Some use cases are already showing signs of feasibility and relevance beyond the pilot stage, which makes this session especially timely.
This session is a chance to:
Learn how digital tools are being used to support circular business models
Discover what works — and what doesn’t — when moving from strategy to implementation
Exchange ideas and connect with professionals working at the forefront of digital circular innovation
Get inspired by examples that are close to becoming market-ready solutions
This session is part of a broader journey. Here’s what the full webinar series covers:
Session #1 (completed): Getting to know the projects — their goals, contexts, and enabling technologies.
Session #2 (upcoming): Real-world implementation — pilots, challenges, and opportunities.
Session #3 (coming in September): Lessons learned — methodologies, barriers, social impact, and what’s coming next.
Let’s Move Circularity Forward
Innovation, collaboration, and knowledge sharing are key to building effective circular value chains. By exploring these pilots and their progress, we take a step closer to making circular economy strategies not just visionary, but actionable.
